The Landscape/Hardscape Supervising Technician will be responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects. The supervisor will be responsible for completing all installations with precision and efficiency. Essential Functions: Direct activities on the job site, including but not limited to coordinating work flow, hands-on work, and operating a variety of different pieces of machinery and small equipment; Communicate production goals (and other items) to crew members and clients; Train and promote the development of the work crew in the best practices of installation and company standards; Monitor all tools, equipment, vehicles, and machinery for needed maintenance; Assist company management with tracking and recording of all job expenses, including but not exclusively of materials and hours worked; Maintain a clean and safe work shop and job site at all times; Other duties as required. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage landscape and hardscape crews during the performance of all assigned work; Follow directions from company management; Communicate well with management, crew members, and clients; Lead by example in quality of work; Train crew members in the best practices of installation according to company standards; Ensure that all installation work is performed in accordance with company standards; Interact with clients when necessary in order to ensure job satisfaction; Ensure that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment; Conduct all job site safety instructions with crew members, maintaining a clean and safe job site; Ensure that all crew members utilize required personal protective gear and that all equipment safety procedures are followed; Report for duty at the designated location on time each day; Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately; Monitor all tools, equipment, vehicles, and machinery for needed maintenance; Encourage crew members to improve job skills to develop the potential for upward mobility. Requirements: Uphold the company's position of integrity, loyalty, respect, and hard work; 3 years’ experience in landscape and hardscape installations; Extensive knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications including patios, retaining walls, walkways, driveways, fireplaces, fire pits, stairs, benches, pool borders, etc. Extensive knowledge of perennials, annuals, shrubs, evergreens, and trees, including identification and proper care; Valid driver's license with clean driving record and insurable by company insurer; Ability to work outdoors in most weather conditions; Endurance to be able to lift up to 80 pounds repetitively; Ability to work at least a 40-hour work week; Proficient equipment operating skills including skip steers; dingo, front end loaders, mowers, and many small engines associated with landscaping; Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail oriented; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Good time management skills; Ability to prioritize and multi-task; Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background (i.e., clients and vendors); Clean and professional appearance; Punctual and dependable.
