Great Choice Management is currently looking for subcontractors to cut grass on residential properties in the Columbus metro area. You will need your own vehicle and equipment. It doesn't need to be the newest or biggest equipment in the best condition, but should be reliable enough that you can work without having constant breakdowns and issues. Please respond with the equipment you have available, the amount of properties you can service in a week, and the years experience you have in the industry. FAQs Do I need to be an established business? -Not at all. If you're just starting out or looking to grow your current operation, as long as you have the minimum requirements of a push mower, weed eater, and leaf blower (or broom if you're really ambitious) we will give you an opportunity to prove yourself! Why should I sign up with Great Choice Management? -Unlike smaller companies, we have a very large inventory of properties that we service. This means shorter drive times between properties which means more properties can be done in a day with less fuel expense. All of this means more net profit for you. How often will I have work? -Volume of work to any particular sub is dictated by a custom computer algorithm that assigns orders to crews based upon on time percentage, pricing, and errors. What this all means in basic terms is we reward crews that are doing a great job and giving us a decent price! Our top performing crews work every day that they want to work and do as many properties as they want to do. You'll have as much work as you want to do as long as you're the best at what you do and are competitively priced. If you're not, we'll give you skills you need and the opportunity to improve to be able to take on more, high quality work. How long is your season? -Our season technically starts on March 1st, however most of our orders start on April 1st. We cut through Nov 30th, and do not lose volume due to hot or dry summer weather. Our work is consistent throughout the mowing season. How do I get paid and how often? -You get paid 2 weeks after work is completed either with a mailed paper check or direct deposit into your account. Will I be an employee and do you withold taxes? -No, you will receive a 1099 at the end of year. Throughout the season you will receive 100% of your paycheck and you'll square up with Uncle Sam April 15th of next year. Do you pay for fuel? -No, this is a subcontractor position and you are responsible for you own fuel, maintenance costs, etc. Do I need to be licensed? -No, you do not need a business license or be registered with any government agencies to perform routing lawn maintenance. I don't have a car (or equipment). Can I work for you? -At this time we are only accepting subs who have their own equipment. We do maintain a list of potential helpers so that if one of our crews needs an extra hand, we have a list of people they can call. If you'd like to be added to that list, please send your name, phone number, and days of the week you're available to work and we'll add you to the list.
