Hello! My name is Mark Gaizauskas. I'm a young enthusiastic entrepreneur with over a decade of industry experience and a fondness for flora! I love plants! As early as I can remember I had a plot in my parents garden, each spring is a new chance to foster vibrant and varied life! I have been working in the industry since the age of 15, at 16 I was driving a truck and trailer. I started out doing commercial landscaping cutting grass for some of the biggest properties in the G.T.A. While I enjoyed this kind of work that let me get outside, I didn't feel that I was pursuing my true calling at the time. I wanted to work less with machines and more with plants. I attained a dual diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College, studying Ecosystems management, a greater understanding of natural systems serves me well in the field and allows me to offer a more natural holistic approach to gardening should the client be interested. After college I dabbled in environmental restoration and forestry work, but ultimately I settled back into landscaping. When I did settle back in, I realized my interests and talents were better used in a plant care capacity, rather than just as a grass cutter. For the last 5 years I have been working in high-end residential gardens across the G.T.A. Now I have finally put away enough money to start up my own operation. We are a small outfit but I like to think that ensures quality. Many companies have low paid unskilled employees do the bulk of the labour, this can lead to an unmotivated workforce with little to no actual plant care knowledge.
