I am originally from the Nashville area, I grew up in Westmoreland Tennessee and graduated from Westmoreland High School. I have been cutting lawns for about 15 years all over the middle TN area. My service area extends as far south as Brentwood and as far North as Bowling Green KY. As luck would have it, I was doing a little bit of landscaping around my parents home and neighbors were stopping by to check out there yard. People were literally stopping by and asking me to do some work on their landscaping projects for their homes. So that inspired me to make the plunge and start my own business and begin lawn care and landscaping professionally. I was mowing lawns already part time cutting around 10 Sumner County for family, friends, and their neighbors. At the time, I was able to use my own equipment , however, very quickly as my lawn company grew, I needed to make the investment in professional lawn mowing equipment. Soon after I decided to begin building my lawn care and landscaping business full time, we grew to 20 ongoing clients spread out around the Middle TN area with 8 or 9 of my customers’ lawns in Brentwood TN. I got most of my weekly lawn mowing clients in the Nashville area through word of mouth. I also go to Smryna as well about once per week. I like to earn peoples business through proactive customer service. For example, when I mow a lawn , I like to let people know in advance via text message or email that I'm coming and approximately what time I will be there. They really love this simple thing! For some reason, other lawn care guys in Nashville won't do this simple task to service their customers. I love the lawn care and landscaping business and I love my customers. Recently, I had a client fall on hard times. It was a lady that lost her husband and she recently became disabled. She let me know that she own reduced single income household and that she couldn't pay me for a while. I felt like the right thing to do would be to help her out, so I am mowing their yard every other week without pay until she get back on her feet financially. It feels good to help my neighbors in Sumner County TN. Other than mowing, I offer a few different services for the home. These landscaping services include: shrub removal, pine straw, mulch, sod and shrub pruning. We will do tree removal, as long as it's less than 24’. How many years have you been in landscaping business, and what inspired you to get started? I have been cutting grass for 15 years, but have just recently started my own landscaping business. I really enjoy doing this type of work. How does your work stand out from other lawn service companies in the area? I believe that I am better priced and more reliable than a lot of other companies out there. I am also a perfectionist and take pride in my work. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you? I would advise customers to make sure that the provider is reliable and to have good communication with them - make sure the provider knows what you want. What do you like most about the lawn care industry? The satisfaction of seeing my results is why I do my work - plus, the satisfaction of others when they see it as well.
