Business address: 642 Gardenvale Rd, Ottawa, ON K1K 1E6 Work Location: Workshop in Russell, ON and various locations in Ottawa, ON and surroundings depending on client's location. Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: •Assist with landscape constructions •Rake and collect refuse •Remove litter and garbage •Cart and spread topsoil and other materials •Lay sod or seed •Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees •Apply fertilizers •Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment •Water plants, lawns and/or gardens •Spread mulch and small stones •Write daily basic progress reports •Remove customers' old sod and replace it with new sod •Lift wheel barrows and sod •Do interlock lift and relays •Remove snow from sidewalks and other areas •Plow parking-lot snow •Apply snow melting products like salt and grit •Relocate and stack snow Requirements: -Education: No education is required. -Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided. - Valid driver's license is a strong asset. -This is a physically demanding outdoors position which involves handling heavy loads, working under pressure and hard labour work. - Must be able to commute to a non-bus area. Salary:$16.00 to $18.00 hourly, 30-55 hours per week. Full-time permanent. Transportation from workshop to different work locations is provided. Travel expenses paid by employer if worker needs to relocate. Accommodation will be provided at a discounted rate. Important Information: - Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts from Monday to Friday from 6am until the job is finished, usually until 4-6pm.
