I am a small independent contractor specializing in landscaping and masonry, but have the skills to tackle just about any project. I am not trying to take over the industry; and, therefore, I have extremely low overhead. I don't have every tool, but I know how to get them; and anything I don't have they would charge you to rent anyway, even if they own it. But a lower price is only a good value if you're still getting a good product. I couldn't agree more, and with me you will get as good, but most likely a better job than any established company can offer. Any established company will merely send out someone with similar credentials to myself....hopefully. I've been a foreman for the last five years, and any project you see on this page I was personally in charge of building. I'm not an architect or designer, but what I lack in academic accolades I make up for with daily practice. I focus on one project at a time, so my attention isn't being distributed among many different jobs, and I won't pull off projects to go to a different one. I have the time to make sure you get exactly what you have in mind, the ability to translate that vision into a proper plan, and the skills to make that plan a reality. When I work on a project, I rely on the help of my skilled friends in the field. These are people I trust to do a project as well as I would do it myself. Whereas with a company you're going to get a foreman and a couple of lesser skilled employees, quite possibly new hires that don't know much about the work. Considering I only work with people who know what they're doing and actually care about the work, I tend to be able to get projects done quickly. While that's not always the case, I generally feel happy with the amount of time I spend on a project, and I'm sure you will too.
